Internship
City of York: Recreation Internship Position
Intern will work under the immediate supervision of the Director of Parks and Recreation and Recreation Coordinator. Duties include: plan and implement summer activities for all age groups, Assist with the supervision of sport programs for youth and adults, supervise seasonal employees, assist with community-wide special events such as Summer Games and special programs at the Family Aquatic Center and perform tasks assigned by Director and/or Recreation Coordinator. Student will utilize their academic skills to promote and improve the Department. Individual will be exposed to the operations of the entire Department (planning, programming, budgeting, marketing, registrations, supervision, etc.) Intern will develop/manage one program or event as a special project.
