Crime Stoppers

The York County Crime Stoppers program started in March of 1984. Since that time York County Crime Stoppers has paid out over $16,000 in rewards and has been instrumental in solving 333 crimes. In addition, information received by Crime Stoppers has lead to the arrest of 199 individuals and the successful prosecution of each of these suspects.

York County Crime Stoppers is proud of the fact that it has played an important role in the recovery of $94,000 in stolen property, and illegal drugs with a street value of over $7,000.

York County Crime Stoppers added an Alcohol Party Hotline in 1994. Information received has led to the arrests of 50 juveniles and 27 adults for a variety of offenses, including minor in possession of alcohol and procuring alcohol for minors.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $250 reward for information that will lead to the arrest of person(s) who entered a rural Polk residence and removed several gold rings.

Crime Stoppers Offers $1,000 Reward! A reward up to $1,000 is being offered for information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect who brandished a handgun and robbed the north Subway, 1803 N Lincoln Ave at 11:03 pm on the evening of June 18, 2010. The suspect was described as a white male, about 5'8", 165-180 pounds, wearing a black ski mask, sunglasses, black slacks and a black long sleeved shirt with a zippered front. The suspect was also wearing a black hiking style back pack and black driving gloves. An undetermined amount of money was stolen.

Crime Stoppers Gives $250 Reward

A crime stopper tipper received $250 after providing information that resulted in the recovery of stolen items and the apprehension of two local men for the Radio Shack burglary.

A tipper received a $250 reward after providing information that resulted in the recovery of electrical wire valued at $2,000 from Champion Homebuilders Company.
